Hey all,
What a beautiful day! Spring is finally here! I had a wonderful day today. Kelli bought me a new CD to celebrate our 4 weeks of living together. She bought me Tom Jones' Greatest Hits, so I treated her to my imitation of Tom Jones while the CD played. She thought it was so dorky, but cute. She did love my rendition of "Love Me Tonight" lol. I never realized what a sexy singer he is until I started singing along with him.
After that we spent the rest of the day down by the river working on getting some color. All of the children ran off when they saw me, I am so white they thought I was a ghost. Kelli is now cooking dinner for us. We will be enjoying a very late dinner tonight. I came online so that Kelli could be creative in the kitchen, without me nosing in on everything. She is such a sweetie, and this seems to mean a lot to her.
Last week I said that I will be renewing my account, which came due this week. I need to postpone that. I checked my account and realized that I am flat broke at the moment. Rent is due this week, so I can't renew for a couple of more weeks. I get paid every two weeks. So if I disappear for a couple of weeks don't worry, I will be back.
I did decide to join Myspace again. I figured I would give it one more chance. I will probably be pretty passive on there, not getting involved that much like I did in the past. It just got me really stressed the last time, but I think I am in a much better place now, so I won't sweat the small things. My name on there is geeksusie, I know, very original. Anyways, add me if you would like, I won't bite.
Well that was pretty much my day and week so far. I'm hoping, and counting on it to get much more interesting after dinner. I will be paying a lot of attention to my sweetie tonight! She has been so good to me! I love her so much!
Okay, poetry time kiddies. Here are my entries for your perusal this week. I so hope you enjoy them!
STORM
Gentle breezes blowing in
Softly touching on your skin
Brightest sunshine fades away
Goodbye to a lovely day.
Darkest clouds of black and grey
Closing in, here to stay.
Wind picks up, creating sound
Rain starts falling, wetting ground.
Safe and cozy, dry indoors.
Rumbling thunder, down it pours!
Getting closer, storm rolls in,
Lightning flashes soon begin.
Chink in curtains. Look outside.
There's no place to run and hide!
Children screaming, scared and soaked
Storms, to them, are not a joke!
Gutters fill to overflow
Making rivers as they grow.
Water gushing down the street
People tumbling off their feet!
Trees and bushes dance and sway
Looking like they'll blow away!
Dustbins rattling, movement found
Before crashing to the ground!
Paper, leaves and branches too
Tossed around and thrown askew.
Windows blurry, cannot see
Rainfall splashing endlessly.
Never ending, on it goes.
Will it stop? Well, who knows?
Snuggle comfy, keeping warm
Time to sleep, forget the storm!
Eyelids closing, night-time's here
Drifting off now, rest is near.
Then comes morning, not a sound
Sun is rising, daylight found.
Birds start singing, streets are dry
Hints of blue now, fill the sky.
Goodbye storm, yes cheerio!
I'm so glad to see you go!
Identity
Im suppose to forget
but forgetting isn't easy
I'm suppose to remember
but recalling is torture
I'm suppose to be real
but I think real must be subjective
because I thought I was me
but others have seen me as something else.
It's not that it matters what else
they think I am
it's not that Ill try to be other than myself
but sometimes confusion tears at my psyche
and I want to scream "it's me!"
not something that you make me.
I'm suppose to forget
but it's hard to imagine
Im suppose to remember
but it's hard to accept
that Im not who I am to someone who knew me
Im something much different than that.
City Nights
Night falls deeply dim it seems
like the day went so fast.
Open mind and open heart
Im sitting looking above
at the bright stars in the sky
while given everything
Im just glad for the simple moments in my life.
The night skyline filled with beauty
the city lights enriching for life
in itself is both life and death
yet still living for the moment
is better than living without passion
in the heart, mind, and soul.
