Hello everyone!
I hope everyone is doing great. I am still trying to recover from the ice storm. Several trees feel right on to my deck.With some help I was able to cut and clear them off. We will be finishing up later today when my friends come over. I tried to call my landlord, but there hasn't been an answer there since I started calling on Friday morning. His area got hit pretty hard and they haven't had electricity since the storm.
My next door neighbor was way cool. On Friday morning he came over and cut a path through the fallen trees so that I could get to my car and get to work. I thought that was so sweet of him.
Things look so beautiful after an ice storm, but the damage is so intense. All the shade trees that I enjoyed sitting under during the summer are now gone. Well, maybe now I will get a tan, lol
For any of you that live in the Northeast and are going through this, I wish you the best of luck. Just remember, warmer weather is coming this week and the electricity should be back soon. It was so weird seeing a 24 hour Super Wal-Mart totally dark!
I know last week I let you know about a musician that I really like. Well, I have another one now. Her name is Amy MacDonald. They have been playing a few of her songs on the radio station that I listen to and she is just incredible. The 2 songs that I love by her right now are "Mr. Rock & Roll" and " This is the Life". Check her out if you can.
I was going to post some Christmas poems this week, but I will wait until next weekend for that. This weekend I will post some silly ones that I wrote a while ago. I hope everyone has an awesome week!!!

Well we took a trip to the toy store...
you know the kind that I mean.
We had so much fun...
just looking at everything.

We came across this strap on...
encased in black leather...
it was even water proof...
good for any kind of weather.

It has different speeds...
high...and low...sleek and sheen,
it rotates...vibrates...
and everything in between.

Strap on...strap off...
we did things we'd never tried...
then in the middle of everything...
the damn batteries died.

here I am all alone...
she's gone to the store...
to bring more batteries home.
