Okay, this week was totally messed up for me! I am so glad that it is over! Nothing but bad things all week!
First, on Monday I went to Washington Park to see Aimee Mann. It wasn't until I got there that I found out that I had the date mixed up! She wasn't playing last Monday, she is playing this Monday!!! ugh!!! It was a nice night, so I did get to enjoy myself a little bit. I went to Lark St and got something to eat at Bombers and then went to the Oh Bar for a little bit.
Next, I was driving home from school on Wednesday night during a rain storm and all of a sudden my hood flew open! It scared the heck out of me. I was able to pull over without getting into an accident and I called my dad. He came and tied it down for me so that I could get home. It was really scary! The good news is that I am covered for it and my insurance company has already cut me a check for it. I am putting my car in the shop on Monday and should have it back either Tuesday or Wednesday. Plus my mom is letting me borrow her car so I don't have to rent one. I didn't have rental coverage, but I do now. I asked my agent to add it so I am covered the next time.
So my plans for this week are pretty cool, as long as the weather holds up. I am going to see The Cowboy Junkies tonight at the Empire State Plaza, and I am going to see Aimee Mann this Monday, lol. I am still studying for my next test - Security+. I hope to take it sometime this week. I will also be watching the Yankees - Red Sox games this weekend. Last nights game was awesome! I was biting my finger nails until it was over! Joba was so good last night!
Ok, enough babbling from me. Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
Here is another poem, I hope you guys don't think this is lame. I just like doing stuff like this.
Tomorrow comes.
Can't stop it, can't help it, can't keep the world from turning.
Contemplation fails me, Inspiration assails me,
Head spins til empty and Heart avails me
Of all truly worth keeping.
Leave my plotting Planner sleeping,
Love my hopeful Dreamer's yearning
Because Tomorrow comes.
Tomorrow comes.
No effort, no labor, the Gift comes for believing
Because I can, not that I must; Open Hands can dare to trust,
A steely grip just turns to rust
Knowledge alone is a brutal master
And patient Wisdom comes no faster
Than readiness for receiving
When Tomorrow comes.
Tomorrow comes.
Can't rush it, can't slow it, can't keep the sun from rising.
All I think is all in vain, fearing never stopped the pain,
A covered garden can't feel the rain
But a well-lit soul is a true Revealer
An open heart is a faster Healer
Freed by Faith, not analyzing
How Tomorrow comes.
(Just know it comes.)
