i'm being good and turning off all my electricial stuff for earth hour. wow, a whole hour without computers or internet or xbox or psp or anything! actually, it's a good chance to have a snooze, and then get back into some more gaming afterwards. hmmm... i wonder how many babies will be born 9 months from now.

today is a sad day though. this is hoochie the supercar:

my ex bought hoochie about 3 years ago, and hoochie has been the best car ever. nothing ever went wrong with her (well, not very often), and she always tried really hard to drive well. then when my ex went overseas, she left hoochie with me. i had to take hoochie to get inspected today to see if she is roadworthy enough to get registered for another year, and the mechanic said there was all this stuff that would need to be fixed (even though she still drives really well. they're pretty anal about the roadworthiness thing here), and it would end up costing more than hoochie initially cost ($1000). so she's going to have to go to the wreckers. such a sad and ignoble end for such a good car. hoochie even had a theme song, and every time she drove particularly well, or did something particularly good, the theme song had to be sung.

i can keep driving her until the 16th of april, and after that, she's no longer allowed to be on the road. i'm tempted to fix her, but maybe patching her up just to get through inspection is even more ignoble. maybe her being able to drive to the wreckers under her own power, with her head held high knowing that she was such a supercar is more dignified. i don't know. i'll miss her.
