Okay, I'm gonna get slightly geeky in this blog, so if that kinda talk doesn't do it for you, maybe go look at some nekkid girls or something...
Okay. It is sooooo frustrating to have to sit and watch someone who doesn't know unix bumble their way around the command line, keep screwing up the same thing you told them how to do multiple times, relying waaaaay too much on the mouse, too much copy and paste, being all hesitant and really bad typing. And I had to sit with him for at least 4 hours today. And furthermore, I know the job description for where I work (only 11 more days to go, btw, although that's about 11 days too many) clearly states "must have solid *nix experience", and during the job interview we're all told that we're using linux workstations and "do we have a problem with that?" The guy I had to work with today clearly does and quote lied during his interview end quote. Grrrr times infinity +1.
And yeah, I know, I know, I hate people like me who know how to do stuff that someone else doesn't know how to do and gets all elitist about it and write blogs about how frustrating it is etc. etc. I'm no vi ninja, but I do know my way around *nix and it is just painful in a hand wringing, foot tapping, wanna push someone off the keyboard kinda way. Still, I guess I shouldn't complain, seen as it was at least a change from all the shit jobs I have to do now that I'm leaving. *deep breath*. 11 more days. I can do it.
On a completely different topic, my psych wants to ween me off one of my meds, zyprexa. I hope coming off it isn't too bad. Not really in the mood for any kind of nasty withdrawal or increased anxiety. On the bright side, she gave me another script for xanax. Wow loot.
