The disaster in Japan is an absolute tragedy to human kind. It is terrifying to watch the news coverage and see the devastation. I can't imagine how the people of Japan are feeling right now but they are all in my prayers. Hopefully the damage is limited and the recovery is quick. There is one thing that history shows us and that is the people of Japan have and will continue to bounce back from the most adverse of situations. Here are some links to help. I have always been a big fan of the Red Cross and donating to them in times of tragedy.

This disaster is on a scale larger than the Japanese Red Cross can typically manage. Donations to the American Red Cross can be allocated for the International Disaster Relief Fund, which then deploys to the region to help.Donate here.

I know a few people that have joined the peace corp. They said it was one of the best things they ever did in their lives. Their experiences really changed them for the better and now they have a completely different perspective on life. They are some of the most kind hearted people I know. The world is in desperate need of more people like that.
