I started receiving password reset requests on my email almost everyday since 1-Aug-2022, and I’m concerned if this is happening to other people as well.
I want to check if this is an automated attempt at anyone, where robots try to guess the password by brute force against a dictionary or a list of common or leaked passwords, or if it is a targeted attack at specific users.
Anyway, I suggest everyone to change their password to a strong one, with at least 20 characters (the more the better), avoiding plain words and easy to guess information, and definitely not reusing passwords from other sites.
It would be even better to have Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) on the site, to get an extra level of security.
No one would like to have their account hacked and identity stolen, with all the nasty consequences.
