As I haven't heard anything about the job and I was told they'd make their decision by yesterday I'm pretty sure I didn't get it. Thanks for the good luck wishes though. I'm going to be officially laid off on the 22nd apparently. Time to lower my standards.

Just because you lower your standards for the time being, doesn't mean that you are lowering them for good. Trying to find a lesser job for now doesn't mean it is a bad thing. Take whatever you can, and keep looking for something better to come along!!
