Halloween Update:
On Saturday I went with a friend of mine to volunteer on a haunted pirate ship, the Gazella. They needed volunteers to play pirates, crewmen and medical personnel (there was an electrocution and a surgery on board). I was originally going to ask my mom for a set of scrubs, but was unable to get a hold of her in time. Instead I put together a pirate costume of things I had around the house (who knew?) and ended up playing the pirate that was taking over the ship and got to do a sword fighting scene on a platform on the ship. There's a more technical name for that part of the ship, but I don't remember what it was. I got to tell a joke about the rest of my buccaneers being under my
"bucking" hat. Teehee. It was pretty cold out though and there were long stretches of time where me and my co-star Art were just waiting for the next group of people to go through. It was fun overall though.
I went to a party afterwards with a group a friends that I watch movies with on a weekly basis. There were some really great costumes. My one friend came as Davie Bowie from Labyrinth, complete with "package". She looked great. Her date was Beaker from the Muppets.
For Tuesday I went to Dracula's Ball with a bunch of friends and dressed up as a zombie nurse. I had a nurse's uniform dress and I bought a cheap makeup kit that was supposed to be for a skeleton and a small thing of fake blood. I think I did pretty well for my first attempt. The bartender at the bar I went to before the Ball was unimpressed, but he explained that he had just watched Day of the Dead, so I think his expectations were a little high.
Non-Halloween Update:
I'm taking the A+ Certification test on Friday. I'm kinda nervous, but I've been preparing for a while now, so I should be okay. As long as I can keep myself focused. Not that Guitar Hero 2 coming out tomorrow is going to interfer with that at all. Or the fact that I'm about to install Neverwinter Night's 2. Nope.
So, who's looking forward to Thanksgiving?

You need to come over to my place. We'll make beautiful music together.

Good luck on the certification. I missed you at the party, but it looks like you had a good time elsewhere.
