i feel like being a little personal today.
i've been dealing with a bad breakup for a couple months now. its one of the few times i've ended a relationship before i had absolutely HAD IT with the person. i was trying to be more mature by acknowledging it wasnt really working before we were at each others throats. it has not paid off. i have since wondered if it wouldnt have been better just to let it run itself into the ground.
so here's a question for all of you. do you think you have to demonize the ex to get over them? do you have to hate each other for a while before you can be friends? i don't think you have to, he does. i just dont understand why that's necessary.

bijoux and i are best of friends. there were definitely some difficult times after we broke up, but it is quite good now.
if he thinks he has to hate you before you can be friends then he might not be able to do it. it's definitely not for everyone.
