Over the years I have found that courage and faith are by themselves are not enough to overcome every obstacle that might come along in life. However, that isn't the end of the story because I have also come to see that if you add in determination and effort to those fundamental parts there isn't any challenge that can't be conquered.
The best part about this formula is its universality. These traits are not dependent on any one philosophy, ideology or religion. Each of them is a choice independent of anything besides the facts at hand and each of them boils down to yes or no? Do I show courage and take the chance even though I might fail? Do I give everything I have in the struggle or do I walk away? Do I stay in the moment and refuse to accept failure? And do I maintain the faith in my ideals even in the absence of tangible proof they are valid? If the answers are all yes, then there is only one possible outcome...success.
