When i was younger i was motivated by the same things as most people. Now my main motivation is much simpler and leads me to much better choices. I just want to build a life that is happy and fulfilling. Everything else will take care of itself in a productive, positive and meaningful way. And, if it doesn't well then I just adjust the approach I'm using and move on because at the end of the day I can only control the choices that I make, and those are the choices that matter the most.

That's not the point I'm making. I'm not saying fear is a motivator; in fact I'm saying the opposite. Fear should never stop you from making the life decisions you believe will make you happy. I'm saying that stepping out of one's comfort zone and branching out and trying new things one has always hoped to do is positive, even if those things are scary. :)
