Ray has cancer, pretty advanced and he doesn't care. He actually said that it's liberating knowing that he's going to die. He hasn't said whether they've told him how long he's got, just that it's inoperable. He looked really well though, breathing better than he has in ages. They've put him on some tablets, I imagine steroids, and he said he feels like a young man again, so I suppose, I'm happy for him.

Still means that sometime in the not too distant future another one of my best friends will die...............
