April 11th will be 3 years. I still can't believe it. I am tired of the nightmares I still have from this.

its staggering to think what people on this earth do to each other. so few of us realise how precious and amazing life is, and yet there are some that feel life is worthless and feel they have the right to take someones life from them. this is a sad world we live in. the only thing we can hope do to to overcome is to never let the memories die. thats one thing people like that can never take away.
p.s.
and thank you, he means the world to me. such a cute little fart
During my last few years of high school and into college, there were a number of violent crimes and deaths around my home town. The two that left the biggest impact were the school's football coach being murdered by his daughter's estranged ex-boyfriend (in protection of his wife and daughters). The other was two girls being murdered by an older male neighbor, who then dismembered them and disposed of their bodies over several counties.
I knew all three victims fairly well - II had played basketball with the coach less than a week before he was murdered. I was close with all three of his daughters and one was kinda dating my best friend. The two girls had been on the girl's track team while I was on the boys team, and I had hung out with one's brother and the other's boyfriend.
Fortunately the suspects in both cases committed suicide before trial.
