Books. Gotta love'em.
That said I'm reading this book that I'm kind of eager to finish-- Jonathan Franzen's Discomfort Zone.
It started off so goddamn well and then he lost me and then he picked me up again and then he lost me and picked me up again.
I have no idea why I would pick up the memoir of a man whose books I've never read in my life. It just grabbed me when I was book shopping on saturday morning.
I didn't even go in to get this book. I went in to get Under the Banner of Heaven but I saw it and saw that Franzen had grown up a nerd. I thought I could identify, maybe. So I bought it.
And It's OKAY, really, but I won't read it again.
Thanks for the insights, Jonathan.
I wanted a little more on the sixties and seventies and a little less about your professors, I guess.
ten pages left and on to the next one.
