Five-Minute fiction - 23:24-23:39
The wave crashed overhead as Dominic tried to right himself. The wave pitched him forward carrying him toward the shore. The world transformed, turned green by the onslaught of the salty water. He fought against the roll, but it was too much. He uttered garbled words as he was slammed into the hard sand of the beach and the wave retreated making way for another to crash down on him.
Spray filled the air as Holly hauled herself to her feet. Her armour was sopping wet, and her rifle was nowhere to be seen. She struggled in the knee deep water fighting both the increasingly large waves and the slippery sand that threatened to given way beneath her. She wiped furiously at her helmet, trying to clear the water from the visor, but her frantic swipes did little to aid her vision.
