Five-Minute fiction - 14:25-14:30
Pain exploded in Chucks head as the bat connected and he toppled to the floor his vision awash with dancing lights. He struggled to regain his feet by the onslaught of brutality continued. Blow after blow, kick after kick rained down on his body driving him back to the floor as he rose to his knees. He curled his arms around his head to shield it fro the savagery and he could feel the blood welling up from cut amidst his hairline. The thick, viscous fluid oozed and bubbled between his fingers creating a sticky mass that glued his fingers together and matted his hair. But he had little time for thought, his vision swam, each kick, each blow sending his vision swimming anew. He struggled to stay awake, to fight back against the encroaching darkness, but it closed about him, swallowing his vision
