Five-Minute fiction - 14:35-14:40
Digger didnt like holes, despite the fact that he possessed the nickname digger. The ridiculous of the nickname extended to the fact that he, in fact, did not like being underground at all. He supposed he could dig something as in enjoying it but that wasnt exactly something that was commonly associated with the word dig. Hed much have preferred something like groover, or liker, but neither of those was exactly great.
And he suspected that groover would get shortened to grover, or something else, and though he remembered Sesame Street with the fondest of memories that is not the muppet hed like to associate himself with.
The fact was he didnt like being under things. Not just underground but under, well, anything. Trees, roofs, overhangs, overpasses, people, rocks. He especially didnt like being under rocks, that was a most unpleasant experience or, having in fact never having been under rocks, imagined it would be a somewhat depressing issue.
But Digger went on keeping the name Digger, it was just something that was done, it was something that had to be done. Once you got a nickname, good or bad you stuck with it.
