Five-Minute fiction - 23:18-23:23
Who exactly is she then? Walton said as he stepped back from the monitor.
We dont exactly know, Sheperd said. There arent that many files on any of the servers. It seems like the facility is completely isolated.
Walton leaned back in and stared at the girl in the monitor. She was seated on a metal chair her hands in her lap. She wore what he presumed passed for military fatigues though they looked more like something a prisoner would wear rather than a soldier. Her hair was cut short, and in fact the only thing that caused her to appear female was her soft features. Some could argue that she could be a more feminine man, a Nancy, but he doubted it very much.
Fine, fine. Frankly, I dont give a rats ass who she is. Shes locked in there, and thats good enough for me.
Sir? Sheperd said. Shes just a girl.
Exactly. Thats what someone, maybe her, wants you to believe. Shes just some soft, innocent girl, that just happens to be locked away in a secret government facility, in which there are no records regarding her incarceration. Does that not strike you as odd in the slightest, corporal?
Sir?
