Five-Minute fiction - 22:38-22:43
Gizzik dropped down onto to the plasteel grating of the corridor and winced as the cold metal snapped at his feet. He danced from foot to foot vigorously trying to warm both this feet the and requisite pieces of plasteel that he seemed to be landing on.
Around him the bulk of the Arcamades hummed through the vacuum of space, the immense propulsion drives carrying the ship further than any manned vessel had ever traveled. The shipss maiden voyage, or at least the maiden voyage of the ships new engine and drive system, was being handled by a skeleton crew of only twenty or so individuals, enough so the ship could function with some regularity, and not enough that a fault in the engineering would have the company scrambling to recover from the loss of so many personnel.
