Cresa felt the cough wrack his body and he doubled over with pain. His entire body seized as if hed be struck by a sudden electrical charge. He staggered to the wall and followed its smooth paneling toward the singular elevator at the end of the corridor. Each breath was agony, each step a concentrated effort of will. His eyes watered and the tears streamed down his face. Coughs, as painful and wracking as his sounded only lost to an indescribable distance, emanated from the door to the conference room he had staggered from. He clawed at his throat as if pulling at the flesh would release the collapsing pressure that seemed to be encircling it. He dropped to his knees and heard the alarms sound.
Claxons cut through the air drowning out the gasping coughs. He closed his eyes against the piercing wail and the first bit of relief came. A warm sensation washed over his throat and spread downward to his heart and lungs before
