The two men struggled for the knife. The tip weaving dangerously close to vital arteries. Grim was smaller than the man, but not by much, and what he lacked in height he made up for in whip. He threw his whole body left and right trying to jerk the knife away from the mans clenched fist, but he steadfastly refused to relinquish it. Grim heard the other sounds of the scuffle and knew Darker was probably not having as much trouble with his man as he was, but nevertheless the man was struggling as well. It gave Grim a little joy.

Grim twisted stepping around the mans legs and wrenched his body so the man tripped over his splayed legs. The man had decided that that exact moment was the perfect time to bear down on Grim and he tripped headlong over Grim. They came apart the knife clattering to the wooden floor as the man, spinning, collided with the lone piece of furniture in the room, a desk. His hips hit hard but he remained upright and Grim took his chance. He launched himself forward and kicked
