SO.... Cairo was fun and educational. Got to climb inside a pyramid, shop the big bazaar, see the museum, smoke a hookah a couple of times, visit some beautiful mosques... The whole deal. OH! and pet a camel. It's got a lot of stuff to do, but I'm sure I wouldn't want to live there. The people were generally REALLY impatient, almost psychotically so, and the city is VERY polluted. Someone told me it's worse than Mexico City now. I wouldn't be surprised; the most common car is a 40yr old Fiat that runs on leaded gas, and it hardly ever rains to wash it away.
OK, I feel like I should write more but I'm not feeling very literary, so, in the words of Wesley/The Dread Pirate Roberts: "get used to disappointment"
