Somehow my friend and I ended up having a discussion about where in the world it is actually nice to live. I don't mean nice as in the area, though that helps, but where the people are actually nice. See, I live in Colorado Springs where we have anti-Spongebob rallies* and people are pretty much fucking weird. My friend is from California and I am from the East Coast, so we had very different upbringings, but both of us agree, Colorado is fucking weird in a not-so-cool way. This could account for the high turnover in the state (outside of the military, which could add just a little to the vibe of the state).
Seriously though, where are the people generally nice? My friend says areas of California. I say I don't know.
*Note: On a morning show, they criticized the anti-SpongeBob SquarePants rallies. They are now off the air. Apparently, Focus on the Family does carry some swagger in this town, as much as they deny it and any political affiliation.

I've noticed in the UK the villages away from the cities is where the really nice, friendly people are; such a shock coming from london where everyone hates you and you hate everyone too... but i wouldnt wanna live in one of those villages- I'd need my privacy now n then and not want to get chatted to by friendly people all the time when all I wanna do is curl up somewhere
