So, this occurred to me yesterday. Remember Bush's state of the union when he mentioned "isolationism" and we all went "Wha? No one talks about that anymore." Well, this country has simply played into his fear mongering and political trappings. What I am talking about is this here port authority issue.
1) Bush admin keeps the deal secret.
2) Bush mentions isolationsim.
3) We find out about deal.
4) We freak out about deal as this is a middle east company.
5) We now look isolationist due to our fear of anything resembling an Arab.
6) We now show that in order to calm this fear, we must have our dirty little hands in everything to control the world, and thus, our fear.
7) This makes the Bush admin right, all knowing and more powerful. Congratulations.
I'm sorry, but whoever runs our ports doesn't mean shit. They only check 10% of the damn cargo anyway. Our ports are probably our weakest spot and always will be. They are just too huge.
Well, our weakest spot may actually be our blind spot. The one in which we all walk around thinking we are right and that we shouldn't consider that we could EVER be wrong.

tonight, the movie selection is Sorority Boys...funny movie, but not quite as dramatic or interesting as David Lynch's work. Meh, it'll be a fun girls night.
