finally some good news about my dad. over the weekend when i was in pa, he they got him off the sedative and he was minorly reposonsive. i asked if everything was ok and he nodded yes, that sort of thing. today apparently he was sitting in a chair in his room for a bit, so hes fully awake. still on antibiotic and some other things, and still jaundiced, but at least he isnt lieing there helpless. they expect him out of ICU in 2ish weeks (they never gave a date before, so this is surely a good sign). he will then be in physical therapy for almost 4 months. he has hardly any muscle mass, and he has lost tons of weight. they removed another 9 pounds of water today in dialesis. theyve been pulling about 5-8 pounds every other day for a week now. ridiculus amounts of water. thats because his kidneys arent working at the moment, which is another concern. they arent sure if its a temporary thing, or if they are fully shut down. once he is more on the path to recovery i guess they will know better.

on an unrelated note, i am fucking starving, and clueless about what to eat. someone come cook for me?
