Embattled[
Silent am I on the outside
While inside the maelstrom
Im weathering nears its apex
Travel alone, afraid I will forever
With a one-way ticket to destruction
So meticulously orchestrated
Failure can only be imminent
As the sky turns black, ashes descend
Like snow on the scorched landscape
Of all that remains of my inconsequential being
Absolute nothingness closing in
I fear there are no more chances
I dread there is merely darkness and ash
Left to descend on my vacant shell
Consequences of my apathy
Are instantly and horrifyingly evident
The ashes descend like snow
Choking out every breathing entity
Do I succumb and join the bodies
Floating face down in the stream
Or exist to be ceaselessly embattled and scarred
The answers lie in the eyes
Of the angel who brought me back once upon a time
But is my pass only valid for one
I descend to the ashen ground
And my eyes burn with a dream
Showing my final resurrection
