Today, I practiced retail therapy.
I had lunch with a friend at Karl Strauss, of course I had to walk past my old restaurant. Thankfully no one came out (not sure why they would but I'd like to avoid that place).
After lunch, I went to the car wash. My god, Bubbles was dirty. I need to save up so I can get the interior detailed.
I ran home to get my cell phone and make a list of my errands when I noticed I had a voicemail. HR finally called to tell me my job offer letter was being sent over night. I won't be starting Monday, which sucks because I had wanted a three-day weekend to travel before I start. So it looks like I'll start mid-week, but they don't know. The woman said she put June 25 or earlier. Gee, that's helpful for my planning purposes. So don't expect to see me much until things get settled down there.
After setting up stuff for work, I hit up Bed Bath and Beyond for a dryer lint trap cleaner kit, then it was off to get the eyebrow caterpillars groomed and the toes painted. Then it was the grocery store and McD for dinner (that was so not a good idea).
I watched "Life is Beautiful." It's was so funny and sweet and yet so sad. But there are a lot of things that didn't make sense. Conditions were almost too easy, soft. Still a great movie. Now I'm watching "The Goebbels Experiment" about the best Nazi propaganda creator. It's um a bit boring.
I will see some of you crazy kids tomorrow at SB and UBEG's going away party.

I really haven't been in a drinking mood these last few weeks, but we'll see.
p.s. after wrapping my brain around it for a couple minutes I cannot understand this statement above mine.
