I'm feeling productive today. I got to the Tribune early (not as early as I would have liked but still early) and I'm already laying out pages. This is the earliest I've ever started that part of my job. Then again, I also know I have to be out of here by 3 p.m. today. I have to work at the restaurant tonight. Not happy about it but it is my shift.
Speaking of the restaurant, last night the GM told me that we're not allowed to keep straws in our aprons because it makes us look cheap. Personally, I think we have bigger problems to worry about than whether or not straws make us look cheap. If we don't want to look cheap we wouldn't have the flimsy stupid wine menus we have now and instead would go back to the nice thick books with the wine, beer and dessert menus together. Their priorities are so out of whack.
RS met my grandma Friday. She's visiting for almost a month from Kansas. She made dinner at my aunt's. I love her fried/baked chicken. I think she and my uncle really like him. We stayed until 11 p.m.
On our way to my place, I got a flat and as I was trying to find a place to pull over (stupid construction blocking the entire shoulder!), my tired blew out, thankfully just as I found a place to pull over where I wouldn't have to worry about getting hit. RS being the handy man he is, immediately threw my new tire on and all was well.
Sunday I bought four new tires from Sears. A whopping $400 later, I'm not worried about any more blow outs. Dad promised to buy me new tires months ago. I reminded him and he put the money in my account.
I'm not so stressed about my apartment. It looks like my baby brother (yeah, the one that's a foot taller than me) might move in so he can go to Long Beach City College. I just need one more roommate and hopefully Mami (my japanese roommate) will help me find someone.
I wish I had something more awesome to say but my brain has been sorta frazzled, trying to get my life organized and well it's not completely working so I'm getting frustrated.

Are you still planning on giving your two weeks? I can't remember if you ever mentioned how that all turned out...
