I'm alive. Barely. Man school is kicking the shit out of me. Mostly because I'm burnt out. I need like 6 weeks away from school but have been going non-stop (including summers) for a little over three years.

I promise I'll catch up soon.

I'm not dead, yet.

Last quarter sucked at school. This quarter is better, so far. I'm still working as much but taking fewer classes. Hopefully, I'll be a little less harried.

Oh, well. Maybe, in the fiture, I'll pass along a cute new analysis or algebra fact from class each time. Well. Next time.

Econ midterm yesterday. Did well. Tired. Worn-out. Unmotivated. Unprepared. Homework due in an hour undone.

Next week, I have a midterm in Analysis. I'm not happy about that.

So, I sent this email around work a few days ago in response to a question as to why someone wanted a math student for a job that mainly involved weighing stuff instead of a physics or chemistry student.

My guess on has/will happen in New Orleans:

1) Local officials messed up by not using public transport to evac more people.

2) FEMA messed up big time. Just gross mismanagement.

3) Bush/Rove realized that FEMA messed up badly on, say, Thursday.

4) Bush/Rove try to strong arm the locals into giving up any control over the situation so they can place the blame entirely...
