I am feeling a bit knackered this PM, due to a marathon viewing of 'The Return of the King' that lasted until the wee hours of this morning.
I have discovered that it is impossible to watch a movie (loosely!) based on a book with 12 people who have not read the aforementioned book. The movie ran for 3 hours, but the arguments and explanations about the movie ending not meshing with the book lasted another 2....
I am getting a bit concerned about the company I keep, though. I am beginning to think I pick friends that are literature-deprived, just so I can feel like I am lecturing to my underprivileged flock and impressing all with statistics I pull from the ether. Actually, I am going to disagree with myself here. If I get called 'Professor', or am asked to explain what "historically accurate battle tactics and garb" means again, I may snap and begin killing. (In a historically accurate way, of course!)
