So everyone's always telling me the importance of this whole social networking thing. Now here I am with this blog so I figured I might as well give it a go.
For the first post a little about me. If you read my profile you already know I'm a writer. I make my living through non-fiction but my real passion is fiction - specifically the magical realism. For those of you unfamiliar with magical realism, its a genre of writing and painting in which magical or illogical elements are placed inside of an otherwise realistic setting. Probably the most famous magical realist writer (and my personal favorite) is Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Other examples include Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino, Life of Pi by Yann Martel and the works of Paulo Coelho.
I've recently published a new novel in this genre called The Ginger Bread Man which should be appearing on Amazon.com in the next 2-3 weeks.
