OK, my earlier entry from today was too whiney for words. Let us not speak of it again. Time is short.
I'm trying to decide if my propensity to go off on tangents is a good or a bad thing.
My current thinking is that the fact that my dissertation contains reflections on the adequacy of Brandom's substitutional semantics, the proper taxonomy of legal disputes, and an (unfinished) ode to Raphael Lemkin greatly increases the fact that I will be read a hundred years after my death by angsty virgins in coffeehouses, yet drastically decreases the chances that I will ever finish writing it.

I really appreciate the offer, but I actually am allergic to snarly grad students, er, I mean cats.
I might have to take you up on it on the second night, but I'm actullay looking forward to hostelling again. I haven't done it since Europe. Go ahead and send me your contact info through my "contact" tab on my profile. Oh, and if you wanted to bring some young, nubile, co-eds to help guide me around our nation's capitol, I wouldn't be opposed.
