I hate having whiny updates sit there too long.

But I have little else to report.



I have just purchased a sharpener for my chef's knife (a Global - I love it, but when you bring a Global in to be shapened, people treat you like you're trying to hand them plutonium - it's all "No FUCKING WAY man! Take that out of here! You have to sign here to say that I never touched your knife!" Something about the angle of the grind on the edge - it's different than most knives, and most places aren't set up to sharpen them properly), and woke up this morning at 7 and used it (I went cheesy and got one with the wheels, but angled properly for a Global - some day when I have more money and the time to learn to use one properly I'll get a proper whetstone).

Of course, I had cereal for breakfast. I need to find something to cut now.

So as it turns out my political beliefs were of no consequeunce in this AIPAC job, which ended yesterday. I sat in a room and typed meaningless names and numbers into the same docuement for 8 hours straight. I spoke to no one but the supervisor, ate my lunch alone, and really wasn't allowed to leave the room for more than a couple minutes at a time besdies my lunch break.

I could have been working for ANYONE.

see, i feel encouraged now - clearly, the people are crying out for a new fad, and i will gladly supply them with that, via fossilization.
