one of the many steps to be taken while moving is switching your phone service to your new address. i attempted to do that today, and whoa unto you that will ever have to go through this ordeal. not only is it going to take the crack troops over at MCI up to THREE WEEKS to turn our phone service on at our new address, the jackass on the line had the audacity to ask me for a contact phone number. when i finished laughing i told him to go fuck himself.
onto the next chore - moving the cable service. again i'm stonewalled. put on hold for - and i do not exaggerate - 45 minutes. 45 long, lonely wasted minutes of listening to chopin pumped over their muzak. eventually i got bored and decided that i jerk off with my free hand. the music was so soothing you know. funny thing, as i got close to finishing i finally got through to a service operator. i told her to please hold, that i was in the middle of something. stick that in your pipe and smoke it time warner cable.
