Ahhhh, Internet Explorer... you fucked me again.
I should know better by now. Every time I feel as though I've written something extraordinary here, some glitch in the Matrix wipes it clean... forever lost in the ether. I should be copying and pasting and saving as I go, but no. I have too much faith in technology, no matter how many times it gives me a good, deep, dicking at the most unfortunate times.
Note to SG staff: instituting some sort of "auto save" function in the blog space might be the single greatest thing you could ever do on this site. Why not give it a whirl? You dink with the layout and other special features constantly anyhow. Everytime I get comfortable with how things work here, it changes the next morning...make it a change for the better for once. Thanks.
I was pissed that my words were lost... then I settled into a state of sadness... but I'm back to pissed now. I'm not sure that I can recreate what I had brought to the page only less than 15 minutes ago. The words are still there in my mind but only as hazy spectres... if I try to focus on them, they vanish in a poof of smoke.
I'll try again tomorrow, maybe...

Have you considered trying Safari for Windows? It's not perfect but it might be better than bloody Microsoft's crap. Another option would be to copy stuff to your clipboard as you're typing. I do that when I'm preparing a long one, to avoid data loss.
