Quando sono solo
sogno all'orizzonte

se non ci sei tu con me,
Su le finestre
mostra a tutti il mio cuore
che hai acceso,
chiudi dentro me
la lace che
hai incontrato per strada,
Con te partrio'
Paesi che non ho mai
veduto e vissuto con te,...

I sit here, 60 and some change miles from home, in the living quarters of some friends of mine at Morehead State College. I am working on a drunk, because I fell that now, more than most nights, I might very well deserve this.
Originally, the plan was as follows. We show up. watch the burlesque dance recital of one of my dear friends here,...

I'm a bad Gypsy, a bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad Gypsy. Oftentimes, someone will say something, and I have to pull a 'Speak no Evil' before I comment (in a most perverted fashion) or snicker. From Tabbatha, this earns me a waggled finger and the statement of "Bad Gypsy!" from Deanna, this earns me a "Shut up Tim!"
But tonight, I think...

I thought I would share a few things with you nice people. In this wonderful modern society, even half-seconds of pure tranquility are a commodity so rare as to be coveted, but never hoarded. Instead, the value increases, I think, if they're shared, and I have two to share. One happened some time ago (much earlier this year) and the other, it happened today. Also...

My Dearest Tabbatha;
Though I've consumed the greater part of a quart of raw Molasses ether with rare and exotic Carribean spices, still I cannot stop thinking about you. The passing moments grow more and more distant as I ponder the ramifications of actually handing you a letter such as the one I write, and I come to the conclusion now, though not later, than...

See, here's the thing. I've been, for the past 6 weeks, participating in a Karaoke contest. Each time, at the end of the night, I've come in just shy of first place... so close, every time. In fact, I was under 15 points (of a 100 point scale) from a perfect, but someone (who DID deserve to win) beat me... as it's always been.
So...

So, here's the breakdown of the day. Work was decent. Not too busy, just enough to keep me there my full shift to make some dinero. It was, all in all, a pretty decent shift. Nothing spectacular, but... pleasant. I even lived through waking up so fucking early.
Then I got home to a very nice spaghetti dinner made in honor of my older brother's...

good sex

Some few interesting things have happened today.
First of all, I almost nearly broke my Heirlooms at work today, slipping on oil from a pan which my own clumsy self knocked over. It wasn't pleasant.
But then I came home and oh so many things started picking up. While sitting in the recliner, half asleep, watching Pump up the Volume, Tabbatha (really hot sweetie I...

So here I sit at King's Daughter's Medical Center, which, by the way, has grown like a weed right under my nose. Greg, mi hermano negro mas loco, is here visiting his father in the Cardiac Critical Condition ward here, and so I sit here while he visits.

Alright, so here's the situation.
Remember that girl I was digging on? The one who was unfortunately currently attached?
Well, she isn't anymore.
Please, bear in mind, while I thought how nice it would be to get a chance at her, I really didn't want them to break up. They were happy. At least, she was. He found someone else. His loss, she's a sweetheart....

I'd initially had the idea of introducing myself to anyone here in staff with the surname of McLayne, and informing these querying staff that Greg and Mr. Steward were members of the family. When asked, I'd planned on the simple statement of "Oh, they're Black Irish."
I thought the better of that, and plan instead on using this rather poorly witted joke at a much less somber locaiton.
(Edited for recent events)
So while I entered this at the hospital, Greg was visiting his Dad. In the room, he passed out, took a dive on his beak, and is now cooling his heels in the emergency room. Initially, this wasn't meant to happen, however, his mother showed up, and I know my cracker ass isn't about to argue with a 6 foot tall black lady.
So, instead of refusing treatment so he could go to McDonalds, Greg is stuck at KDMC.
I sit at home, waiting a spell while he and his mother and sister wait in the hospital (This doesn't bother me, I HATE hospitals). While here, his girlfriend Amber calls his cell, which I've got just in case she calls. She works at a nursing home, and one of her residents died on her.
Damn.
It's something like this that makes me wanna celebrate life even more. It's a gift we're all blessed with, and we should make the most we can of it.
