Alright, so here's the situation.
Remember that girl I was digging on? The one who was unfortunately currently attached?
Well, she isn't anymore.
Please, bear in mind, while I thought how nice it would be to get a chance at her, I really didn't want them to break up. They were happy. At least, she was. He found someone else. His loss, she's a sweetheart.
So, I shall endeavor to be there for her as necessary, and maybe, just maybe, my luck has turned around in a manner which I shall enjoy.
Once again, please bear in mind though, that I've no intention of being a vulture. She needs her time, and I'm more than happy to give it to her, and I told her as much. But... things have changed, so it's time to see how they pan out.

I'd initially had the idea of introducing myself to anyone here in staff with the surname of McLayne, and informing these querying staff that Greg and Mr. Steward were members of the family. When asked, I'd planned on the simple statement of "Oh, they're Black Irish."
I thought the better of that, and plan instead on using this rather poorly witted joke at a much less somber locaiton.
(Edited for recent events)
So while I entered this at the hospital, Greg was visiting his Dad. In the room, he passed out, took a dive on his beak, and is now cooling his heels in the emergency room. Initially, this wasn't meant to happen, however, his mother showed up, and I know my cracker ass isn't about to argue with a 6 foot tall black lady.
So, instead of refusing treatment so he could go to McDonalds, Greg is stuck at KDMC.
I sit at home, waiting a spell while he and his mother and sister wait in the hospital (This doesn't bother me, I HATE hospitals). While here, his girlfriend Amber calls his cell, which I've got just in case she calls. She works at a nursing home, and one of her residents died on her.
Damn.
It's something like this that makes me wanna celebrate life even more. It's a gift we're all blessed with, and we should make the most we can of it.
"Know life in every breath."
