Changed jobs.
Why?
I was closing the station last week, when I saw a woman in the lot was fussing horribly with her car in the dark. I went to see if she needed any help.
Turns out, she was like, 6 or 7 months pregnant, and her tire was flat. So, being the kinda guy I am, I offer to help, which she graciously accepts.
I change the offending tire, and put on the 'Donut' which was fuck off heavy, and go back to closing the station.
Next day, I've got a Write Up waiting on me, because I helped this woman while on the clock, as it's not a work related duty.
I promptly called friend and asked if he still needed people at the Pizza Hut up the highway a bit, and he says "Yeah, come in Monday for paperwork and orientation." Woot, fuck yeah, and I walk out of Exxon.
Is it wrong that I help a VERY pregnant woman change a tire? You know, when she could fall on her stomach while trying to break a lug (and those were tight lugs too) or just miscarry from the strain?
Oh well, I'm making twice the money that I was, and doing half the work, so I ain't bitching. I honestly like the new job, everyone on morning shift is a RPG gamer, so we all get along REALLY well.
