Today I seem to have lost all motivation to do any course work. Its been like this pretty much all weekend. I don't really understand, I sit down and open the books but nothing goes into my head. No matter where I am, whether its at the library, in my flat, whatever. I just can't work. Meh.
On a brighter note, I had a great Saturday smile Went to see a short animation called "Lost and Found", based on a children's book. It was the sweetest film I have seen in a long time. Then I went to see Fantastic Mr Fox, which was, well, fantastic. Spent the afternoon with my good friend Chris and his flat mate, talking about animal cruelty, local farming, veganism and high school over some beer. Before going out for the night, I made Chris some lentil curry (which he said he liked a lot so I must be able to cook lentils well at least), and went back to his. I managed to find a nice set of facepaints and painted lots of faces. Its becoming a very good hobby of mine. Body painting, facepainting, whatever. I think it is so different, using teh body as a canvas and with paint on a body inevitabley you are going to haev to wash it away. I spent 4 hours painting Chris's torso the other night and we washed it off before he went to bed and even though I had put a lot of time and effort into the painting, it didn't matter.
It actually made me think a lot about the impermanence of pretty much everything we encounter in life. Nothing is permanent, is it? Its like the facepaint, no matter how much you like it and want to keep it forever you can't. Its impossible.

Spent the afternoon watching movies: Pan's Labyrinth is recommendable. Now I am going to make some tea.
