Bitter and I have always talked about renting an Airbnb exclusively to do a photoshoot. The issue with talking about something is that you rarely actually do it. So, in a slow work day I went and did the reservations to an Airbnb and move a small photoshoot test I had for that weekend to a full on photoshoot, invited a MUA and a couple of models, and the weekend was set up to be quite the experience.
Getting there was actually a pain. The Airbnb was a few minutes away from home, be we had so much things with us, and we try to carry everything in bags and going on foot. It’s suppose to be autumn here. It was not.
It was worth the trouble, the place, when we finally arrive, was beyond our expectations.
We started with a set for @berenicemoon , and move on to a do a more explicit, sexually charge set between Berenice and Bitter. We have tons of fun, and actually ended taking a few shoots of Berenice boyfriend (Bitter took a few, while totally naked. Once the clothes are off, why bother to put them on again).
We spent most of the afternoon doing that, so we were starving. Bitter and I went to a little Ramen place. It was fantastic, after a hard day of work just chill for a bit and talk about the photos we just shoot. In the way home Bitter bought from a street vendor a hat and some socks, she felt in love with those and we change the subject (and time) for her SG Set, from Alien to Casual Autumn Morning.
After that we did a late night photoshoot with @multiplescolores , she have a different style from other SuicideGirls, a bit more natural, more candid, so we did a night shooting, playing with wine. She was fantastic and we had a blast. Probably the wine helped a bit with the conversation. We laugh, we shoot and finally we went to sleep.
I wake up before dawn. Re arrange the lights, checkout the batteries and memory cards and went to wake up @bitterblue with a cup of coffee.
Before long she was ready, make up on, coffee drank, breakfast barely touched but the sun was coming out from behind the mountains. The cold air and the warm lights of the morning make for a beautiful set up for a photoshoot.
We were finishing around the time @paztilla and Luna Elena (MUA) show up. Luna did an AMAZING job stylizing Paz, and we shoot the last set of the day. The result, with the more cold light of 10am-11am and the subject of the shoot, was simply amazing. Working with Paz is ALWAYS super easy and fun. She have an easy laugh and a clear idea of what she want.
In the end we had an amazing weekend full of amazing photos with incredible humans. I can’t wait to repeat the experience soon!
