10/25: Post your 13 favorite horror films of all time!

I chose this Homework because I am passionate about cinema and Horror is my favorite genre. I am crazy about "disturbing" movies and that also includes those heavy dramas in which you end up actually wanting to drown yourself in tears. For me, the more a movie messes with your mind, the better 😂

But, because we are focusing on horror films, I decided to put those that made a mark on me within this specific genre and also those that I had the most fun watching.

4. Funny Games (Although both are from Haneke, I prefer the remake over the original. No reason, its just a personal choice.)

5. Babadook

6. I Saw The Devil

7. Evil Dead (The remake. In this case, I want to say ‘I'm sorry’ to the big fans who are so loyal and must find my preference blasphemous. But I do find the 80's classics exaggeratedly trash and I don't personally like horror trash movies as a style in general, so the remake just got a lot better for me. Sorry guys! :P)

Only 13? Okay. Nosferatu. 'M'. Vampyr. Haxan. White Zombie. Island of Lost Souls. Freaks. Brides Of Dracula. Black Sabbath. Mask Of The Demon. Night of the Demon. Theatre Of Blood. From Beyond The Grave. I've spent most of my free time watching as many horror and science-fiction movies as humanly possible. I have managed to seek out and watch 99.9% of the movies mentioned in David Pirie's seminal 1973 book, 'A Heritage Of Horror'. Never been frightened by any movie I've watched, and find 'The Exorcist' so over-wrought, and po-faced that it's funny.
