Well I just got back from my first time in New York, and I'm pissed I had to leave...so where do I start, well this wouldn't be a good story, if I didn't have my 'awesome' moments thrown into another trip I've taken, or blog I've posted for that matter. We got in early that day, checked into the hotel, which by the way had an amazing view overlooking all of time square. Dropped our bags off, and attempted to take our very first subway, yeah... We finally find one, and we dont know how to work the machines, so we go upstairs attemping to find someone who's willing to help us... bad fucking idea. The guy who was "HELPING" us ended up being some chinese kid, who looked like a junkie. Told us it was two dollars each, took our money and swiped HIS metro card, opened the emergency door, pushed us through, mind you the alarm was going off, basically pointing us out that we did something wrong, and the kid ran away. So, Nikki and I started power walking to the opposite end of the subway station. Finally , we get to ground zero, which was really REALLY depressing. New buildings were going up in its place, made out of glass. Go to Century 21. Attempt to get onto another subway. We figured out the whole metro card thing, but the doors locked halfway into me and Nikki going through the iron gates they have, soooo, some black lady told another tourist to open the emergency door and the lady on the other side was saying, "But the alarm will go off!" all the black lady had to say was, "SO! It's aint like we robbin a bank!" And she opened it. After that I didn't feel as bad for doing it the first time. We walked around, in Time Square, AKA 'home ground'. It started raining, went to dinner. Got back to the hotel, danced in the hotel room a bit, and desided I was in dire need of a cigarette. Stayed awake until four am. Ended up talking to some black man who worked at the hotel we were staying at, as a bellman. He showed us Time Square at 4 o'clock in the morning. It was eerie. There were hardly any people, on what once was early that day, what seemed to be sardine pack streets. Only cops and a few homeless men walking around. Possibly a posititute or two. The nasties. Woke up the next morning at around noon, walked around some more, and by this time, we had the hang of the whole subway deal, only some man, who definitely was homeless hopped on it and screamed, " MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION!" Nikki and I looked at eachother like, 'oh fuck this guys going to bomb the train, or pull out a gun". Turns out he just wanted money, go figure. The we headed back to PA, we both got really upset. Not to mention, my ex boyfriend, desided to pull some shit out of his ass again and somehow always finds a way to make me cry, only this time for hours upon hours. He's bringing his NEW girlfriend to where I'm staying at, and fucking is doing it to piss me off. But, thanks to Kindra and Nikki, I've tried teaching myself, that it's his loss. I mean honestly, who can say I ever really benifited from him anyhow. He has a way with words however, and I'm pretty confident in saying, he wants to make me miserable, and sure I won't end up with anyone. It's pretty sad, really, when looking into someone's eyes and knowing they're lying through their fucking teeth, just to get your sympathy. Sometimes the people we think we know the best, we never really knew. Needless to say, I'll be... okay. Atleast, that's what I'm hoping for.
