My sister and her family are moving to Lancaster.
My parent's are moving to Lancaster.
My best friend and co-worker is moving to Atlanta.
Yeah. The sister and 'rents thing isn't a shock. It's my friend. He got promoted, and he's getting a REAL nice position at our plant outside of ATL. Which means I get promoted into his former job, which means raise for me! Good shit, yeah?
Almost. He and I were supposed to move into my sister's old apartment in August(ish). Now he'll be in ATL by May. I only have my current apartment until October, and then? Well, now I don't know. I got the expected offer from the fam to come with them to their brand new home and take the basement that's bigger than my current apartment. I just don't think my pride could handle that, moving back home into my parent's basement at 24. No. Plus It'd be a wicked commute to work (1 hour +)
I'm barely scraping by the change to keep this apartment at $640, and even with my raise, I have bills. I don't have any other reliable friends to take on as roomies, either, or the solution would pretty much be set.
Why can't life be like a Choose Your Own Adventure book? I'm at this crucial point where the story can have two very different endings, and I don't know which one is better. Or if either is good. Or if that wizard will send me to the Phantom Zone. I just want to flip ahead a few pages, and see.
On a compeltely unrelated topic, Stellastarr* at the Khyber next Tuesday. I'm flying solo now that my friend is heading to ATL to scope things out, so any familair faces (or new friendly ones) would be ace.
