I just found out the my little town of Gilberts had the highest population growth in Illinois. We used to be a town of under 400 when i moved here about 17 years ago and now we are over 3200. This sucks! We used to be surronded by cornfields but now it is a buisness district and neighborhoods.
I miss the days of going to the next town over saying I live in Gilberts and people not knowing where it is.

My hometown's turned into a tourist Magnet. Its population is, yeh, around 3000 or so... and it's got boutique stores that can otherwise only be found in the most up-market suburbs of the state capital. Ugh - it's fucking lame.
