i saved the coolest and largest caterpillar today. he was trucking along the parking lot at work in the blazing sun. i was scared he would fry or be squished by a car, so i picked him up and moved him over to the woods beside the building. but he was an amazingly beautiful thing....bright green and fleshy, but he had a brown fuzzy face..and he was about 4 inches long and about 1/2 inch around..now that's big for a caterpiller! i haven't seen anything like it before! anybody know much about bugs?

i wonder what type of butterfly he will become.



After researching....

I found him! He will be a Luna Moth. They are beautiful!! And apparently rare these days.
