this past weekend ended up being a big drunk fest!! 
but i'm not really complaining...i had fun, and there were no insane hangovers to deal with. 
i ran into an old friend from the days when i used to bartend in this local punk bar. i saw him almost every day when i worked there....he is one of the most awesome people in the world!!
it turns out that there is this ignorant neo nazi ignorant fuck named Bill White in Roanoke, Va. he is buying up property in predominately black neighborhoods and evicting black and bi-racial families. he creates horrible situations for these tenants as well, like not fixing plumbing so they have to go without water...etc.. there was a meeting over the weekend headed by a group of people trying to get this man charged for his crimes, and they are trying to raise money for the families that have been evicted and are essentially homeless now. it seems to be going well...alot of people are standing up for the victims it seems. it is hard for me to believe that in this day and age this sort of predjudice is present. and the most shocking thing is that the fucking state of Virginia doesn't have any laws to protect victims of discrimination in this situation.
i can't tolerate any sort of predjudice!! it makes me intensely angry. there is too much other shit to worry about in this world that would actually be a VALID concern. ya know? well....enough ranting about that!
i am sooo excited because i get some new ink soon!!! my good friend Chase in Ohio has done all of my work, and i talked to him recently about getting more. i want to drive up there before the end of the summer. i think i want to add on to my sleeve, and add on to my dragonfly so it starts to become a back piece, and i want something on the tops of my feet! i think that looks so sexy on a woman!!
well, i am off to try to strike up a deal with another business. i am trying to expand my custom framing business. if it works out i would triple the amount of business right away! i hope it pans out, because i need this! i also met with this incredible artist this weekend, and i am going to show her artwork in my gallery. i am psyched about the new "exhibit" it is gonna look great. i really, eally like her work! if you want to check out her work, go to www.faridahughes.com.
