So I'm going to be working with a friend of mine who repairs clocks. It sounds boring, I know, but it actually is kinda fun and interesting. And there are so many tiny intricate parts!
******which gives me an idea for a very cool sculpture...******
I'm psyched to learn another of the lost arts or trades. So many neccessary fine craftsman have stopped what they are doing because of recent technology. Like blacksmiths, glassblowers, potters, wood workers, and even domestic arts like quilting and knitting. All these things are "hobbies" now. I wish we still lived in a society that made everyday things by hand, and were more self-sufficient. It would be nice if everything was hand-made.
