Today I volunteered at my sister's work to do puppy baths. It was actually alot of fun. Well, fun up until this tiny maltese puppy was so scared of the dryer that he shit all over himself and me!! Eww... Next time I believe I will request an apron. Yes, indeed.

I decided to go ahead and volunteer my time to a few things while i am still technically unable to work because of my freakin' back injury. At least this way I can get a feel for how much I can do. I will also be doing my kid's art lessons at the local shelter for abused women and thier families. I used to go there and do childrens art lessons, and it was incredibly fun and rewarding. I have a soft spot for those children...they just came from a very seriously stressful situation, and oftentimes were abused themselves, and they could be staying at the shelter for up to 3 months. Those kids need a creative outlet for all the bullshit they have to deal with. I really want to get this started again. I just need to figure out a way to fund the lessons again. When I did it before it was with NoPhase, a non-profit art organization I was a part of..so we just accepted donations for the cause, but NoPhase no longer exists...and it gets tricky accepting donations yourself. Eh...I'll figure it out!
