Went and saw SG Lennon at the Troc Thursday night. She sounded great, but was not feeling so, and kept apologizing to the crowd for sucking (which she certainly did not.) A good time overall. I'm definitely looking forward to getting better acquainted with her music, and seeing her play again sometime, hopefully when she's not under the weather. In other news, I sat on a jury for the first time in my life this past week, a murder trial. Fortunately, I was just an alternate, and was excused after closing arguments were made and deliberations were set to begin. Which was probably a good thing, since I didn't think there was enough credible evidence presented to convict the guy (the prosecution's witnesses were all dopes who were no doubt shit-faced drunk and/or high at the time of the murder and all had ties to another man who could just as believably have done the shooting), and the vibe I got from most of the other jurors indicated that they probably thought there was. Overall, I think most of them were anxious just to reach anyunanimous verdict, and I would have had a hard time going along with that program.
Anyway, just waiting for the first (and hopefully last) snowstorm of the season to get here within the next couple of hours. I'll have a lot of shoveling to do tomorrow.
